You Will Love the Airtec 2 if:

-You are a strict side sleeper who wants your hip and shoulder to sink in a bit to keep your spine aligned.

-You love the feeling of a classic memory foam. It is very contouring!

-You are sleep with a partner and want excellent motion isolation.

You May Not be Comfortable on the Airtec 2 if:

-You prefer a pillow-top mattress with some bounce.

-You like a very firm mattress since you are a stomach sleeper; this is on the firmer side of medium but is not a standard firm.

-You are a budget-minded shopper who is looking for the least expensive mattress from Molecule; this is their most expensive model in their line up.

Construction

This cover is quite cool to the touch.

The Molecule Airtec 2 mattress has three layers in the mattress: a open cell memory foam comfort layer, a transition layer and a support layer. The initial memory foam layer gives a classic memory foam feeling with amazing contouring. Laying down on that layer is a wonderful, supportive experience. The layer beneath it “catches” you; you will not continue to sink into the mattress beyond the first layer. The transition layer is zoned with different support for areas of the body that feel more pressure, giving you a comfortable and supportive experience. The last layer is the firmest, densest foam that gives overall shape to the bed and a base for the other layers. The mattress is covered with a pretty standard polyester material that is quite cool to the touch.

Who Would Sleep Comfortably on the Molecule Airtec 2?

As a strict side sleeper, I felt very comfortable on this mattress! Side sleepers tend to find memory foam mattresses very comfortable and cradling to their shoulder and hip areas. As I laid on my back, I also felt very little pressure. As I laid on my stomach, however, I felt more pressure in the hip area. A strict stomach sleeper would probably not be very comfortable on this mattress, since they need a firmer sleeping surface. However, back and side sleepers will find this mattress very comfortable and supportive.

The Fine Print

You can try the Molecule Airtec 2 for an entire year! During that time period, if you decide the Airtec 2 is not for you, you can return the mattress for a refund. The mattress comes with an industry-leading lifetime warranty. A queen mattress will run you 1299, and will cost you more or less depending on the size you choose.
