Sleeping on the DreamCloud Premier
Sleeping on the DreamCloud Premier mattress really was a dream. You will feel like you are sleeping on top of the mattress instead of in it, even though the surface feels quite plush. In spite of this plush feeling, my overall impression was that this mattress was on the firmer side of medium and offered very good pressure relief.
Unboxing
The unboxing experience of the DreamCloud Premier mattress was so easy! When mattress arrived on my doorstep, it came compressed in a box that I hauled up to my bedroom with a partner. They even included a small tool to help cut the plastic wrap. When I was done unboxing the mattress, I was left with only a bit of plastic and a cardboard box to recycle.
Construction
The DreamCloud Premier mattress is a very high-profile mattress, coming in at a whopping 16 inches! The cover is made from cashmere and polyester and is quilted with memory foam. Below that are three different layers of foam. Below the foam is a layer of 8.5 inch pocketed coils that give the bed some bounce. The bottom of the mattress is a firm poly foam foundation.
Motion Transfer
I slept on this mattress next to my husband and the motion transfer was very minimal. I did not feel any movement while I was asleep, and I am a light sleeper.
Off-Gassing
I smelled absolutely no off-gassing when I opened this mattress, which is probably due to the fact that they use Certi-Pur foam.
Edge Support
When you sit directly on the side of this mattress, it does a very good job supporting your weight; it only compressed a bit. When I laid on the mattress near the edge, I felt just as supported as I did in the middle. You will be able to use the entire surface of the mattress for sleeping, which is excellent for couples.
