Brooklyn Bedding’s well-known hashtag is #bestmattressever. Does their new Bloom Hybrid live up to this lofty proclamation? I had the opportunity to sleep on a Bloom Hybrid and like all of Brooklyn Bedding’s mattresses, it did not disappoint!

Overall Impressions
The Bloom Hybrid is an excellent choice for any sleeper since you are order it in firm, medium or soft. Side sleepers will find the soft mattress to be a good fit, while back and stomach sleepers will prefer the medium or firm option. As a side sleeper, I am very sensitive to pressure in my hips and the Bloom Hybrid offered excellent pressure relief. The Bloom Hybrid is a very environmentally-friendly option since it has a whopping three inches of Talalay latex certified by Oeko-Tex, Joma wool and organic cotton. This luxurious mattress will please the most discerning sleeper.
Construction
The base of this mattress is one inch of foam, followed by 8 inches of encased coils. Three luxurious inches of Oeko-Tex-certified latex are then covered by Joma wool and organic cotton.
Motion Transfer
I slept on this mattress next to my husband and the motion transfer was very minimal. I did not feel any movement while I was asleep, and I am a light sleeper.
Off-Gassing
I smelled absolutely no off-gassing when I opened this mattress and this is probably due to the fact that the materials used in this mattress are very eco-friendly.
Edge Support
Bed-in-a-box mattresses often get a bad rap for edge support since they are compressed and packaged for compactness. The Bloom Hybrid had absolutely fantastic edge support. When I sat directly on the edge of the mattress, it only compressed slightly. Couples will find that they can use the entire surface of the bed for sleeping due to the good edge support and those who often sit on the edge of their bed will find the support superior to most other mattresses.
Does it Sleep Hot?
The Bloom Hybrid slept very cool due to its superior breathability. Many mattresses that focus on sleeping cool do so because of special gels that are put into the top layer of the mattress. This mattress’ focus on natural materials means it does not contain these cooling agents. The wool and latex are remarkably breathable and did not trap heat.
Latex Pillow
If you are purchasing a mattress from Brooklyn Bedding, do yourself a favor and buy their latex pillow, too! Brooklyn Bedding often runs a promotion where you receive a free pillow and sheets if you buy a mattress. I have slept on many different pillows and I can say with complete confidence that this pillow truly is #thebestpillowever. Latex is a remarkable product; it starts its life as the sap of a rubber tree. It is harvested from a tree in the same way maple syrup is. This rubber tree sap is then frothed, baked and washed. This results in a soft, bouncy, material that is absolutely wonderful as a pillow. This pillow literally bounces when thrown to the floor. I wish I had a house full of these pillows; they are constantly being stolen off my bed! Your head sinks into the pillow, yet the rest of the pillow stays elevated so it makes you feel like your head is being cradled. You will not regret purchasing this pillow!
Don’t Just Take My Word for It
The Bloom Hybrid has enthusiastic reviews from their consumers, including a sentiment I can really identify with: “ooh the feels!”
